Experience Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker like never before with this magical musical collaboration between Carillonneur Geert D’hollander and dancers from the Florida Dance Theater. Enjoy seven musical selections from The Nutcracker as dancers from the Florida Dance Theater twirl and pirouette across the Sundial steps of The Singing Tower. Please bring your own blanket or chair if you’d like to sit. General admission tickets start at $15 per person. The Nutcracker Education Experience is a collaborative effort between Florida Dance Theatre, Polk County Schools, and community members to provide students with an immersive dance program centered around The Nutcracker ballet. This program aims to enhance students' dance skills, provide unique mentorship opportunities, promote health and wellness through dance, and culminate in live performances alongside FDT's professional company. For our 30th anniversary season of performances, we are featuring students of Crystal Lake Elementary School & Rochelle School for The Arts. Through the generous support of community members, tickets to these presentations are free to students of Polk County Schools and $8 for adult admission. Location: Theatre Winter Haven 210 Cypress Gardens Blvd, Winter Haven, FL. 33880 Roles include Party Children, Soldiers, Mice, Mother Ginger’s Children and more. Young dancers have a unique opportunity to work closely with the professional dancers of FDT and experience the hard work, discipline, and dedication necessary for a successful production. A fun and exciting chance to feel the thrill of live performance. *A $65 performance fee is due the 1st day of rehearsal. Audition Times Ages 6 - 8 from 12:30pm –1:15pm Ages 9 - 12 from 1:30pm –2:15pm Ages 13 & up from 2:30pm - 3:30pm FDT's training academy students receive training in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz and more as they grow and expand their artistic palette in preparation for their annual Spring Academy Recital. We will be offering classes in Lakeland and Winter Haven for the 30th anniversary season.

Join Clara and The Nutcracker Prince as they battle The Mouse King and journey to the Land of The Sweets where they meet The Sugar Plum Fairy and a whole host of friends. This epic production is a timeless classic of the season and one you sure don't want to miss!
